When I started creating this piece, I wanted to learn how Chagall was creating his reds and yellows. It took me several years to learn color theory from studying Van Gogh's art, so I was expecting it to take time.
However, oddly enough, Chagalls techniques were rather simple. He used HSV, which is something taught in college (often poorly and only partly taught, however, aside from that, it was all much simpler than that. I learned his technique in about a month, and once I figured it out, I created 'Red'. Once I was able to do this, I put this aside.
The problem was I could not continue further than my studies until I had a strong feeling to direct me.
