Oil paintings by Steven Kaiser
More often than not, a piece is created only to learn techniques or ideas. This was one of the times. Creating a good piece was less important than learning how to vibrate colors against other colors, controlling whites, and a better way to use my new line technique so I could do it faster, and to better use it.
My only true goal here (and most of my unposted pieces) was to learn what I needed to learn.
I succeeded in the first parts eventually, but failed at the last (and most important) part. As you can see, the lines didn't incorporate properly. I believe I now know what I want to do in the future to make it work properly to make it more palatable.
