I've fixed the color of the angel, and I incorporated the outside throughout. It seemed to work, though I have not fixed anything else yet. The fact that my Ground was light, and I left it open to using the white background as a mirror works. You can see where I used another color behind the darker blue. It doesn't work there.
The colors are still too dark (the values are off), and they are still too different. However, each color can be similar in different ways, and that can be used to create different images within the colors.
Even though it is early on and I have a long way to go, this is working to an extent, and I am learning quickly. The blues need more white but I can see why. It will make the art more fresh. I think once it dries, I will be able to combine blues to create different imagery in the blues making it more interesting and lighter. I also like that you can tell where the separation of colors are where I painted (or didn't). For example, the circle on the top has a bare point between the blues and the different blue/green of the circle. This is true in many places where I chose not to overlap. This was a choice as I am well aware how to do this to hide this seem if I wanted to.
I look forward to this (making it lighter), and to fixing the bird. Maybe I could add wings so the wings are closed and open at the same time. Adding a homely home with a long and bent chimney will make it more homely and longing to feel like home like.
One of the biggest problems I have in reality is I want companionship, but when i get it for over an hour, I feel like I am drowning and I am uncomfortable. Then I want to be alone. It would be nice to meet someone whereas I don't feel that way. Meanwhile I want to tap in to this feeling of ambivalence. - The need for love and companionship, yet the need to be alone.
The duck can be changed to an outline. In fact, many things related to something can be changed to an outline. I'm not sure what. Maybe the things that are a focus can be filled in.
