By the time I got to this style, I pretty much hated painting, and usually didn't want to do it. I was often painting on hardboard that I bought at Lowes and I scraped clear thick liquid plastic on it to protect the painting. Before this style, I was more interested in research. But at this point, I started learning how to better use brushes, which is why they look simple. After I felt I knew enough (5 years later), I moved on to my Jewish style, where I began focusing on emotions.
